Dear Colleagues:
We are excited to invite you to the 12th Annual Meeting of The Language and Social Interaction Working Group (LANSI), which is scheduled to take place on Oct 18-19 (Friday and Saturday) at Teachers College, Columbia University. The full conference program is now available.
This year, we are delighted to have (a) Mary Bucholtz and her collaborator Erika Prado and (b) Phillip Glenn as our invited speakers, and we can’t wait to hear these talks and many others:
- The interactional contingency of desire: Intersubjective uncertainty and haptic sociality in autistic communication without speech (Bucholtz & Prado, UCSB)
- Moving past online hostility: Formulating practices in conversation with people who hate me (Phillip Glenn, Emerson)
